Why these exist

Padli works because people show up, pay their share and are honest about what happened on
court. None of that can be enforced by software alone — it rests on the players.

These Guidelines set out what we expect of everyone using Padli. They form an integral part
of the General Terms of Use, and a breach of them is a breach of those Terms.

They are written for players. Venue staff are additionally bound by the Venue Partner
Terms.

2. Show up, and show up on time

A booked court is a court nobody else can take. If you cannot play, cancel or free your
seat as early as you can — early enough for someone else to use it.

Arrive in time to start at the booked hour. Arriving late does not extend your slot; it
shortens it, for everyone in the match.

Leave the court at the end of your slot. Someone is waiting for it.

Not turning up is the one thing that cannot be undone. It costs the other players their
match, the venue an empty court and the money is due in full. Repeated no-shows lead to a
restriction of your account.

3. Pay your share

If you accept a seat, you have accepted the obligation to pay for it.

Keep a valid card on your account when you are playing shared bookings.

If the money cannot be collected from you, it is charged to the person who organised the
match — a real person, out of their own pocket. Settle with them.

Do not use a match to shift the cost onto the organiser, and do not dispute with your bank
a charge for a match you actually played.

Where a venue booked the court for you and you told it you would pay at the desk, pay at
the desk. The venue has held a court on your word.

Promo codes are for you. A code is meant for one person to use once. Publishing one as
advertising, spreading it in bulk, or opening a second account to use it again takes money
out of a promotion meant for everyone, and is treated as abuse.

4. Be honest about results

Enter the score that was actually played.

Confirm or correct promptly a result someone else has entered. An uncontested result is
confirmed automatically after 24 hours — silence becomes agreement.

Do not enter a result for a match that did not take place, and do not enter fictitious
opponents.

Use "I was not in this match" only when it is true. It invalidates the result for
everyone in it, it is recorded with your name, and the person whose seat it was can
contest it.

5. Be honest about your level

Your level exists so that people get matches worth playing. It only works if it is real.

Answer the starting questionnaire honestly.

Do not deliberately lose, and do not arrange results, in order to keep or obtain a level.

Do not play under someone else's account, and do not let anyone play under yours.

Do not create a second account to obtain a different level, or to escape one.

If you are stronger than your level suggests, say so. If you are weaker, you may lower your
own level yourself — deliberately a one-way step, because it can only be earned back by
playing.

Manipulating levels or leaderboards is treated as seriously as not paying.

6. Respect the venue

Follow the venue's house rules — equipment, footwear, access, guests, minors, lighting,
changing rooms.

Treat the court, the nets, the glass and the facilities with care. Report damage rather
than leaving it for the next players.

Be respectful to the staff. They are running a facility, not a support desk for the
Platform.

Complaints about the court or the facility belong to the venue first. Where we can help, we
will.

7. Respect the other players

Harassment, insults, threats, and discrimination on the basis of gender, origin, religion,
sexual orientation, disability or any other ground have no place on Padli — neither on
court, nor in a profile, nor in a message.

Play fair. Call the ball honestly, accept the call, keep the match a game.

A mixed-strength match is normal. Do not make someone regret having joined.

Do not use the Platform to advertise, to recruit, or to contact people for reasons
unrelated to padel.

8. Guests you bring

Enter a guest's name and contact details only with their agreement.

You are responsible for your guest — for their conduct at the venue and for their share of
the payment.

A guest under 18 is your responsibility, including towards their parent or guardian and
towards the venue.

9. Open matches

An open match is an invitation to strangers. Treat it as one.

Join only if you actually intend to play. A seat taken and abandoned is worse than a seat
never taken.

The organiser is not a service provider. They booked a court and let you in on it.

Where a match states a level range or a gender rule, it is there so that everyone gets the
game they came for. Do not misstate your level or your profile in order to get past it.

Be the player others want to see join next time.

10. Your profile

Use your real name and a photograph that is actually of you. People are deciding whether to
play with you.

Do not upload another person's photograph, offensive imagery, or content protected by
someone else's rights.

Do not impersonate another person, a venue, or Padli.

11. Blocking and reporting

If someone makes your experience worse, you can block them: you disappear from each
other's profiles, searches, lists and suggestions.

Report serious matters to us at hey@padli.app — harassment, threats, fraud, fake
results, impersonation. Tell us what happened and where, and we will look into it.

For anything involving safety or a crime, contact the police first. We cooperate with the
competent authorities.

Do not misuse blocking or reporting to harm someone who has done nothing wrong.

12. What happens when these rules are broken

Depending on the seriousness and on whether it has happened before, we may:

warn you;

reverse the effect — remove a false result, correct a level, take a profile picture down;

restrict a function — the ability to join open matches, to make bookings, to appear on
leaderboards;

suspend the account temporarily;

terminate the account permanently.

For a first, minor lapse we will normally speak to you first. For fraud, manipulation of
results or levels, harassment or threats, we may act immediately.

Money owed remains owed regardless of any measure taken, and a measure does not entitle you
to a refund of bookings already used.

If you believe a measure was wrong, write to us at hey@padli.app and we will review it.

13.
